Dog Clothing and More

Pay attention to the washing instructions when you purchase dog clothing.  Many outfits are not washable and many are wash only.

If possible spot clean the item.  Try a damp cloth and gentle rubbing.  If that is not sufficient, you might try a little woolite, dampen the fabric and gently rub the fabric.  Then rinse and put on a hanger to dry or lay out on a towel.

If the entire article must be washed and is washable turn it wrong side out and if the outfit has velcro, be sure to fasten all of the strips.  Put in a hosiery bag or if that is too small put it in a pillow case and tie shut.  That keeps the little clothes in one place and keeps the decorations in place.  Wash in cold water on delicate cycle.   Do not put in dryer.  Hand on a hanger or lay on a towel.

For those cool evenings your dog will love his dog pajamas.  When your puppy comes in after his evening walk, dress him in his dog pajamas before he jumps into bed.

People may laugh when you put pajamas on your dog, but the small dogs with the thin skin may need the extra warmth.  Besides sometimes it’s just fun to put pajamas, robe and slippers on your dog.
