Your Puppy’s Peepers

Your Puppy’s Peepers

Don’t let just anyone see your puppy’s beautiful peepers; your dog has beautiful eyes that sparkle like the sky on a starry night, glisten like the dew on a spring morning, and glow like the setting sun at dusk.  Protecting your canine’s eyes with a set of dog sunglasses will make them the talk of the town, and let all those gawkers wonder about the dazzling eyes behind those debonair sunglasses.  In addition to being too cool for school, your dog will protect their eyes from harmful UV rays that could damage their eyesight and cause a slew of other problems.  The real reason for your pup to don a pair of dog sunglasses though is to let the whole world know that your dog is a movie star and not just any old person is fit to look into their eyes.

Whether at the beach, taking a walk, or indoors, dog sunglasses are sure to let everyone know just how special your dog is; consider a matching set for yourself so that your dog is always accompanied by their human celebrity equivalent!

Do dogs wear sunglasses?

Author: PawsCause

dog sunglassesIt may sound a little silly, but yes. There is such a thing as dog sunglasses. And they actually have a viable function other than showing off how cute your dog is. Dog sunglasses, or goggles as they more accurately look, will protect your pup’s eyes from objects, wind and UV light.

Think about how often your dog hangs its head out the window of your car while you’re driving. Now, think about all the bugs, dirt and rocks that are probably flying into his eyes, not to mention the incredible drying-out all the wind will cause.

If he were wearing sunglasses, he wouldn’t run in to any of those problems. The sunglasses and goggles are comfortable and easy for the dog to wear, too. Most have shatterproof and ant-fog lenses, and adjustable elastic head and/or chin strap, and have foam padding around the lenses to keep his sensitive face comfortable.

dog-in-sunglasses.jpgIf you think your dog might not like the new dog sunglasses on his or her face, introduce your dog to the sunglasses slowly.  Show your dog the sunglasses, tell him how great he’ll look, praise him and give him a treat.  With your dog in the “sit” position, raise the sunglasses towards his face but don’t put them on yet.  Continue to praise and give him another treat.  If your dog runs away, start over.

Bring the sunglasses closer, continuing to praise and put on his nose for a few seconds then remove,  praise and treat.  Increase the time on his nose and soon he’ll love his new cool sunglasses!

Dog sunglasses block 100% of UV light and keep out wind and debris.  They are light weight, sturdy and comfortable allowing his or her tasks quite easily.
