Dog Clothing - The Latest Trend

Author: karenida

yhst-12096210823712_1989_92807981.jpgA couple of decades ago you might occasionally see a dog in a dog sweater and some dogs of the rich and famous had several sweaters and maybe diamonds in her collars.  But over the last few years the dog fashion and dog clothing industry has exploded.  Although you can find dog clothing for almost any size dog it is mostly the smaller dogs that are dressed.

I think the owner probably enjoys the dog fashion more than the dog but as long as the clothes don’t obstruct the dogs’ movement he or she won’t mind and may really enjoy the attention that stems from wearing dog fashions.

Especially for the small thin coated dogs the dog clothes are quite necessary to protect them from the elements.

You can order just about anything you can think of for your dog.  There are dog coats, sweaters, dresses, pants, shirts, sweatshirts, jewelry, hats, bandanas, halloween costumes and even a tuxedo and wedding dress.  So, enjoy the fun!

Are Dog Clothes Necessary?

Author: karenida

yhst-12096210823712_2022_35328474.jpgNow days it is so much fun to dress our dogs in dog clothes.  There are so many cute otfits to choose from.  But, are those dog clothes really necessary?  Well, I think so, because it is so much fun!  But the fact is smaller dogs with thinner skin and less hair will need a dog sweater or a dog coat when they go out in the cold or rainy weather.  It might be wise to add dog boots to protect their little feet from the ice and snow.

The dog sunglasses are very important for any dog to keep those harmful UV rays out of their eyes.  You wear sunglasses when you go out in the sun to protect your eyes so don’t forget to put them on your dog too.

The dog t shirts, dresses, pajamas and robes are of course not necessary but lots of fun!

Canine Beach Babes and Bathing Beauties

When you’re hanging out at the beach on those warm summer days, your sassy and sexy female canine should be able to strut her stuff just like all the other beach citizens.  Include your dog in the skin tight sensual delight that is sunbathing with a dog bikini.  Your cute little girl will be the envy of all the male and female dogs on the beach, and probably draw attention to her owner too!  For added effect, complete her outfit with a cute little towel to lie on and an umbrella to shade her from the eyes of onlookers who are just a little too curious.

Be sure to wear your own beach fashion to compliment your cute little pup; you’re sure to make quite a pair on a hot summer day!

Your Puppy’s Peepers

Your Puppy’s Peepers

Don’t let just anyone see your puppy’s beautiful peepers; your dog has beautiful eyes that sparkle like the sky on a starry night, glisten like the dew on a spring morning, and glow like the setting sun at dusk.  Protecting your canine’s eyes with a set of dog sunglasses will make them the talk of the town, and let all those gawkers wonder about the dazzling eyes behind those debonair sunglasses.  In addition to being too cool for school, your dog will protect their eyes from harmful UV rays that could damage their eyesight and cause a slew of other problems.  The real reason for your pup to don a pair of dog sunglasses though is to let the whole world know that your dog is a movie star and not just any old person is fit to look into their eyes.

Whether at the beach, taking a walk, or indoors, dog sunglasses are sure to let everyone know just how special your dog is; consider a matching set for yourself so that your dog is always accompanied by their human celebrity equivalent!

Advantages of Dog Coats for Pets

Author: karenida

yhst-12096210823712_1989_92807981.jpgWe all know that a dog coat will keep the dog warm in cold weather, but other reasons are protection from dirt, rain or snow.  Coats can keep the dog clean and away from pests, burrs and stickers.

Before ordering a coat be sure to measure carefully.  Measure the length of the dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.  If there are other measurements required be sure to check them to get the best fit possible

Large Dog Clothes Can Be Cute Too!

Author: karenida

yhst-12096210823712_1989_1093610772.jpgA large dog dressed up in large dog clothes can be just as cute as a tiny dog.  Large dogs get cold and wet just like people and little dogs.  So, consider a jacket, a hoodie or a rain coat for nasty weather.

Bigger dogs look great in shorts or pants too. Many people like to dress their big dogs in a matching sweatshirt.

Is Dog Clothing Here to Stay?

Author: karenida

thumbnail.gifIf you think putting clothing on dogs will be going out of style anytime soon, I’m afraid it won’t happen.  There are more styles and designs every year for dog clothing.

Even in the summer the UV rays of the sun can reach a dog’s skin and cause a sunburn.  A light weight t-shirt can be helpful for this problem.  Of course in the winter dog sweaters and coats are needed - especially for the thin skinned little dogs.  Boots protect a dog’s feet from the dangers of ice, snow and salt.

yhst-12096210823712_2026_72822497.jpgWhen the weather turns cold there is nothing better than a dog jumpsuit.  A jumpsuit can be any type of fabric but it covers the dog’s entire body, some even have a hood.

You can get quilted jumpsuits for walking in the really cold weather.  Lighter weight jumpsuits can be worn under coats or in the house.
