Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Neiman-Marcus and Bloomingdales have all have pet fashion lines. The pet industry accounted for an estimated 8 billion dollars last year. That would include all items for pets, but still a lot of money!
Of course, if you are buying from the above mentioned designers and stores, you must be prepared to pay the high dollars. however, the middle class dogs can look just as fancy as the rich dogs for much less.
You can buy the coats with faux fur instead of real fur. And the barrets and tiaras with Sworski stones instead of diamonds. But still your dog will be just a cute and you’ll have just as much fun with the reasonably priced dog clothes.
Pet owners are buying not only sweaters and coats but also dresses, hats, jewelry, sportswear, pajamas, robes, sunglasses and halloween costumes.
More people buy fashions for the smaller dogs but many fashions are available in the larger sizes too. So, the bigger dogs can be dressed up too.
